I hope you are teaching your little one computer skills. My daughter was using a computer at a very early age, before she started kindergarten, before there was any windows or any internet. She learned to read using DOS commands at the C-prompt to get her games up on the screen. And then came Windows and the internet and it got better and better. She never lost interest, so now she will be an IT professional.
I remember trying to learn AutoCAD for drafting back in the 80ies. lol
Thanks for asking. Family is fine, kid is home for good, graduated in May with a degree in management, finance and IT. She likes finance, but had to settle for an IT job. The finance industry is dead in the water, there are 100,000 bankers running around Wall Street unemployed and there are no jobs in finance for love nor for money at this time.
A train of thought like that would never have occurred to me in a million years. I suppose that's one reason I'm glad I never got addicted to computers. I don't automatically think of going to the net to find anything, let alone anything specific, unless I'm driven to it.
I simply couldn't conceive any other impetus than curiosity. I would never have thought of testing the system.
You seem to be very bothered about how nosy I must be to have "gone to all the trouble of" finding the source of your horoscope. You've mentioned it a number of times now, so perhaps I can give you a bit of relief that my thoughts were not personal.
I spent many years in business, designing databases, writing database queries, integrating data from disparate sources, etc., to make it easier to find answers to important business questions. When you posted that phrase from your horoscope, and FIGMENT asked about it, I immediately thought of the 21 Nov horoscope as a piece of date sensitive data with fleeting effectiveness. It was already 22 Nov in Europe, and possibly at the location of your horoscope provider. So, with my querymeister frame of mind, I thought... would google point me to a link with a current horoscope, or with a day-old horoscope? Will the google link's and Bill's horoscope's dates match? Would old horoscopes be archived anyway? I'm sure nost people don't find that angle very interesting, but I do. To reiterate, it wasn't about you.
Google provided a novinite.com horoscope link with the text from Bill's horoscope highlighted. When I clicked on that link, however, novinite's 22 Nov horoscope page, which did not include Bill's phrase, returned. Interesting, I thought. Putting Bill's horoscope text into the sna search box did return the archived Taurus reference from 21 Nov and a couple of other entries from previous years that had used the same phrase. For what it's worth.
All of this (2 measly queries) took less than 5 seconds and rose from curiousity about the query itself. It took longer to write "have a nice weekend," which actually was about you.
Thanks for telling us you are a man of God. Your god does not approve of you posting my photos and those of my family on the forum and ridiculing me. Seriously, get a life. Your obsession with me (and I know you will deny it) is getting a little bit creepy and disturbing.
"By the way, Mrs. Rowling's experience philosophy is based on imagination, not experience!"
Mrs. Rowling was a schoolteacher. Don't even try to tell me she has no experience. She used that knowledge in a fictional setting, but that doesn't take anything away from the truth of it.
But then, since Post Office people can't read well enough to get a letter to the correct addressee, I suppose it IS too much for you to grasp this one. Better leave religion alone; it's way too deep for you.
