The President of the Czech Republic Vaclav Klaus said Wednesday he did not think the cumbersome procedures in the EU would be changed during his country's Presidency of the Council in January-June of 2009.
In an interview for the Darik Radio, Klaus, who a famous eurosceptic and opponent to the ratification of the Lisbon Reform Treaty, explicitly made clear his belief that the procedures in the EU would remain the way they were at present.
The Czech President also stated the global warming was not a real issue for humankind, and the alleged climate change was just used by ambitious politicians and environmentalists to curb people's freedom and prosperity.
Wednesday is the second day of Vaclav Klaus's official visit to Bulgaria. In the presence of the Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov, the Czech President presented Tuesday afternoon the Bulgarian edition of his book "Blue Planet - Not Green", in which he argues there was no global warming.
