A suicide bomber has attacked a market in the northern Israeli coastal town of Netanya, killing at least two people and injuring about 40. Israeli television said the alleged bomber died along with one other person. The attack, at about 1620 (1320 GMT) on Sunday, was claimed by the Islamic militant group Hamas, the French news agency AFP reported. The bomber is reported to have pulled up in a taxi before detonating an explosive belt. Several of the injured are reported to be in serious condition. It was the first working day after a long holiday weekend.
