OGNYAN GERDZHIKOV, SIMEON II NATIONAL MOVEMENT: ONLY UNION WILL MAKE THE STRENGHT

The legal status of Primus inter pares /First among equals/, is a status of honour. On a personal note the honour is even more obliging for me in the light of the fact that I entered politics only two months, with just my academic name to back me. I owe my election to the high position of a parliamentary speaker thanks to the National Movement for Simeon II of which I became part two months ago. The 38th national assembly was the first one in a decade to complete its mandate. Let us turn the precedent into tradition. Parliament is a mirror of society. It was the will of the Bulgarian people that this national assembly will be constituted by coalitions, not by separate political parties - a reminder of the ancient Bulgarian adage, attributed to Khan Kubrat, that only union will make the strength. Let us do the people`s will!
