Pakistani police are overseeing the exhumation of a body which may be that of murdered American journalist Daniel Pearl. The body is being dug up from an isolated area on the outskirts of the port city of Karachi. The move follows the arrest of two members of a militant Sunni Muslim group, one of whom told police that Mr Pearl's body was there. Pakistani presidential spokesman General Rashid Qureshi said that there was no positive identification of the body so far. A team of five doctors and a magistrate have gone to the site, as required by law. Local police say it could take days, if not weeks, to identify the body using DNA testing.
