Russia’s Commercial Bank Odintsovo announced that it was bidding for Bulgaria’s tobacco monopoly Bulgartbac Holding. The bank is one of the five potential buyers that have placed indicative offers. The Odintsovo bank that was set up in 1944 recently changed its name to regional Perspective bank. “Retaining the traditiojnal range of Bulgarian cigarette brands and with the priorities of the Bulgarian market in mind, the bank will roll out sizeable amounts of tobacco products for the Russian market, which has a great potential,” a press release of the Bulgarian representative of the Odintsovo bank – the law firm Tihomir Trendafilov reads.
