A teacher in Germany has told of his chilling encounter with a teenage killer who had just shot dead 16 people at a school. Rainer Heise was confronted by the masked youth in a corridor. He said he challenged the student to look him in the eye and shoot him. Instead, the killer, Robert Steinhaeuser, lowered his pistol and said: "That's enough for today." By the time police stormed the school in the eastern city of Erfurt, the 19-year-old had killed himself. Police say Steinhaeuser went on the rampage because he was furious at having been expelled from the school.
