The average specific consumption of power may dropped by 50% in the existing housing fund, if the energy saving measures are implemented, show the calculations of the National Energy Saving Effectiveness Plan, promoted by the State Energy Effectiveness Agency (SEEA). The program provided more than 80 measures in the field of agriculture, housing construction, heating systems, industry and transport. The National plan is jointly drawn by the SEEA, Austrian Energy Agency and the French-based International Energy Consulting Company. It`s for a 3-year period and the money are to be reimbursed within 3 to 6 years. The entire investment operation program equals to BGN 11.6 Bln, and BGN 373 M out of them are provided for technical activities in the heat-supply. The Energy Effectiveness Plan is to be financed by the EU PHARE and SAVE 2 programs, the state budget and the Nuclear Capacities Decommissioning Fund.
