The 73-year-old Austrian man who admitted holding his daughter captive in his home cellar for nearly 24 years and fathering seven children by her is due to appear in court on Tuesday.
Josef Fritzl, dubbed a "monster" by the Austrian press was transferred Monday from police custody in Amstetten to a court in St Poelten where he is to appear before a custodial judge.
Fritzl still faces several days of questioning and police are expected to continue searching the horror dungeon.
Questions in the case like how Fritzl managed to hold his victims captive without his wife knowing and how the babies were born and taken care of in the windowless chambers of his cellar remain unanswered.
