Pop star Shakira is due to discuss how to boost Third World education with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, the Sun reported Monday.
The sultry singer is expected to speak to the politician on the telephone this evening as that would be the latest in a string of showbiz encounters for Brown.
The event is organised by the Global Campaign for Education (GCE), to highlight a pledge by world leaders that every child will have access to quality primary education by 2015.
Some 72 million children are still missing out, according to the coalition of charities and teaching unions.
Earlier this month Brown appeared on hit TV show American Idol to promote the cause of eradicating malaria.
He was also recently pictured alongside Hollywood actor George Clooney after they mulled over the Darfur crisis in Downing Street.
