The US has created a spy network in the former Soviet republic of Belarus under the pretext of combating terrorism.

The information was announced on Monday by the First Channel of the Belarusian TV, and was confirmed on Tuesday by a representative of the Belarusian KGB quoted by the Russia media.

The US Embassy created a spy group of ten people, whose aim was to transfer information to the US, which might be potentially dangerous for Belarus, the reports state.

No official comment on part of the US Embassy staff in Belarus has been reported yet.

The Belarisian regime of the President Alexander Lukashenko is strictly pro-Russian and hostile to the USA.
