Experts from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) arrive in Bulgaria in May to make a detailed analysis on the situation in the country, Piritta Sorsa, IMF Resident Representative announced. She agreed that inflation in the first three months of the year was higher than expected. According to her, though, the increased inflation is a result from temporary factors, the influence of which is expected to decrease. She added that the analysis of the IMF experts in May will help to assess whether corrections in the budget were necessary. “We look forward to the coming sell-off of the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company, “ Sorsa added. Worries concerning the deal arise from the current global telecom sector slump, she said.
