BULGARIANS LEAST PLEASED IN EUROPE WITH WORKING CONDITIONS

Every second Bulgarian who works feels bad and Bulgaria tops the list of the countries as far as general fatigue is concerned, the report of the European Foundation for Improvement of Working and Living Conditions for 2001 reads.

The health and safety of the employees in the EU candidate states are two times lower than in the EU member states, the report concludes. 41% of the workers in the EU candidate states are exhausted from work, 23% in the member states.
The report shows that the Bulgarians were most displeased with their working conditions. 59% from the employed Bulgarians wouldn’t be able or do not wish t work the same job when they reach of the age of sixty.

Extra working hours as well as night shifts are much more frequent for the candidate states, the report also says. Every third Bulgaria worked over 45 hours per week, the survey shows.

The report says that the Bulgarian workers are least protected from harmful factors as noise, vibrations, heavy loads, heat, etc.
