Eighteen years ago, on April 21, 1984 Bulgarian alpinist Hristo Prodanov died in the Himalayas. A day earlier he started to climb the highest mount on the earth - Everest. His Sherpa returned and left him all alone. Hristo succeeded in getting to the top. He had no oxygen and got there too late. Hristo Prodanov stayed on the top for some 20 minutes. Then he started descending. At nightfall he found himself somewhere at 8,750 m and froze to death.
