The director of the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute Hristo Pimpirev will attend the April 23 meeting of the European Polar Board (EPB) in Groningen. Bulgaria is expected to be granted full membership to join the Antarctica-exploring nations of Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Great Britain, Germany Finland, Poland and Russia in the EU structure. The board coordinates the presence of the European countries in polar regions. Pimpirev will report on Bulgarian Antarctic exploration.
