Striker Valeri Domovchiiski, who plays for Levski Sofia, has been officially transferred to Berlin's Hertha after signing an agreement on Tuesday, officials from the football club announced.
The German team rents the player for a season and will eventually buy him at the end of June.
Domovchiiski's debut in his new club will be on Saturday when Hertha hosts Eintracht Frankfurt at Olympiastadion.
"It is hard when you have to separate with players you have created but Domovchiyski wants to prove his skills in a foreign team and we respect his will," Levski's manager Stanimir Stoilov said.
English Blackburn, Spanish Primera Division side Getafe, and PSV Eindhoven were among the teams that have recently shown interest in the 21-year-old player.
The striker, who is seen as one of Levski's top youngsters broke into the senior team in the 2004/05 season, scoring 54 goals in 121 games since then.
