The Finance Ministry suspended the funding of all projects under the so-called additional programme for investments in municipalities, outgoing Finance Minister Mouravei Radev announced. The decision was prompted by a statement of Vladimir Donchev, an MP of the Simeon II National Movement. According to Donchev, considerable financial resources have been wasted on doubtful projects, one of which is the repair of the bridge crossing the Maritsa River in Plovdiv. Radev said that by July 10 his Ministry would present a comprehensive report on the state of the country`s finances after the four-year governance of the United Democratic Forces.
