US President George W. Bush arrived in Saudi Arabia, which is the second stop on his Middle East tour, reportedly hoping the kingdom will maintain pressure on Iran.

At a meeting with Saudi King Abdullah, Bush is expected to try to rally support for his campaign to isolate Iran, Deutsche Welle reported

In a speech on Sunday in Abu Dhabi, the president accused Tehran of supporting terrorism, saying the country was undermining stability in Lebanon by supporting the radical Islamist organisation Hezbollah.

Bush also accused Iran of backing the Palestinian Hamas militant group.

During the Mideast trip, which aims at supporting his Israeli-Palestinian peacemaking efforts, Bush also signed a USD 20 B agreement with Saudi Arabia for selling US weapons to the oil-rich kingdom.
