NOEV CALLS FOR CONSENSUS IN DEFENCE DECISIONS
Politics | June 28, 2001, Thursday // 00:00
DEFENCE matters must be discussed in calm and professional atmosphere, said defence minister Boyko Noev, referring to the statement made yesterday by Solomon Passy, the head of the foreign affairs team of the national Movement for Simeon II regarding the modernization of the Bulgarian aviation bases in conformity with the NATO standards. What we currently expect from the Americans is a temporary solution, Noev said, reminding that Graf Ignatievo will become the largest and most up-to-date aviation base in the country, requiring lasting, not temporary solutions, which must be made with the consensus by the military experts.
