Four companies would bid for a 12-year licence to build and operate the first digital television network in Bulgaria, the State Communications Commission announced. `They are eligible to participate in the tender for a six-channel digital TV network in Sofia. The four companies, all Bulgarian-registered, are BTC, Ring CV, private cable television Evrotur Sat TV Engineering and Union Television. The tender, to be held on Thursday at a minimum price of $50.000, will be public and bids will be accepted in increments of $5.000. The project will be experimental with an option to introduce such system in the whole country.
