The sixteen-year-old sister of trouble-plagued pop princess Britney Spears is expecting her first child.

The news is to be broken in the forthcoming edition of celebrity gossip magazine OK! and has already been confirmed by Nickelodeon cable channel, which airs the popular TV show "Zoey 101," starring Jamie Lynn Spears.

"We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take reponsibility in this sensitive and personal situation," reads the statement that reps for Spears' hit kids show released corroborating OK's story.

"We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being."

The high school student who lives in Louisiana reportedly met the father, Casey Aldridge, the son of a Tennessee papermill worker, at church.

Jamie Lynn Spears' personal publicist was not available for comment.

Britney Spears herself lost custody of her sons last year after her divorce with ex-husband Kevin Federline and was granted just two daytime visits a week and one overnight visit.
