A powerful explosion rocked the Philippine House of Representatives killing one MP and his driver, as well as injuring several other people on Tuesday.
The blast destroyed the south entrance of the Parliament around 8 p.m. local time as members of the lower house were leaving after a session, the Philippine authorities said.
House speaker Jose de Venecia, told local reporters it was "definitely a bomb", BBC reported.
The blast appeared to come from a car parked outside the building and injured at least three lawmakers, local police said.
Last month an explosion damaged a shopping mall in the Philipine capital Manila, killing 11 people and injuring more than 100. A preliminary police report said it was an accident.
