Bulgaria's largest mobile operator MobilTel celebrated the first anniversary of the launch of the Vodafone live! multimedia service by offering its clients new vision, services and functionalities.

For the first year of the start of the mobile portal in Bulgaria, the users of Vodafone live! have grown to 400,000 a month.

The new service, Vodafone live! 2 offers new functionalities - four tabs for easier browsing. For the devoted fans of the service, MobilTel offers three new theme packages: TV, Music and Web.

By means of its multimedia service, the clients of MobilTel will roam through their mobile phone into a new world of information and entertainment, called "infotainment".

Vodafone live! is a gigantic Internet portal, visited by nearly 45 million users and accessible in 26 countries, which is now made accessible to subscribers of the first Bulgarian mobile operator.

Entering it, all MobilTel customers have the opportunity to enjoy in real time their favourite television, to download video clips, to listen to music, to play games, to get informed about the latest news, to chat or to find the nearest club.

One of the most valuable feature of Vodafone Live! is the opportunity to watch live mobile television, offered exclusively for mobile devices.

The football of the Champions League, the perfect models on Fashion TV, the extreme sports on ChilliTV, 24 hours of CNN, Cartoon network, MTV, Eurosport etc. are all at an arm's reach with the new multimedia service.

MobilTel, the biggest mobile operator in Bulgaria, is part of the Mobilkom Austria Group (MAG), the wireless segment of Telekom Austria.

The mobile company is the only Bulgarian operator to offer EDGE, UMTS and HSDPA services to its clients and became the world's fifth to launch HSDPA.

In 2005 the operator won the only UMTS A Class license tender in Bulgaria for a 20-year term. Six months later - on September 14, 2005, MobilTel presented the first operational UMTS network in Bulgaria. On March 6, 2006 the company introduced the first 3G services in Bulgaria and the mobile data access over HSDPA.

Since July 2005 MobilTel is part of the Mobilkom Austria Group (MAG) - together with Mobilkom Austria, Vipnet, Si.mobil and Mobilkom Liechtenstein.

In February 2006 Mobiltel announced the cooperation with Vodafone, thanks to which MobilTel started offering selected Vodafone services to its clients.
