Scandalous British singer Amy Winehouse has been arrested and held overnight in Norway for possession of cannabis, BBC reported Friday.

The star was imposed a EUR 500 fine and released after paying it early in the morning.

Winehouse along with her husband Blake Fielder-Civil and a third person, whose identity has not been revealed so far, were seized at a hotel in the city of Bergen after being found with 7grams of the drug.

The singer is to stage a performance in the city on Friday evening, which will be followed by a concert in Norwegian capital Oslo on Saturday as part of her European tour.

Winehouse, who won two prizes at the Music of Black Origin (Mobo) awards in London last month, has cancelled a series of appearances after reportedly being treated for drug addiction.
