Pop star Britney Spears must be monitored when she visits her two sons, a court in Los Angeles decided, BBC reported Friday.

The current ruling was made as the judges consider her behaviour would "endangers" the youngsters.

The star's ex-husband, Kevin Federline, was awarded full custody after the pop princess failed to produce her driving licence and missed an ordered test for drugs and alcohol.

Spears is likely to see her children, Sean Preston, at the age of two, and Jayden James, 1, every other day but must also attend three counselling sessions this month.

The divorced parents have been previously ordered to complete a parenting class too.

Last month Spears was accused of hitting a parked car and driving away from the scene in Los Angeles on 6 August.

If found guilty, the singer faces six months in jail and a USD 1,000 fine.

The singer's latest setback follows a year of unfavourable headlines after her separation from Mr Federline last November.
