A total of twenty people died in crashes in Bulgaria during the four non-working days on the occasion of the anniversary since the Day of Unification, September 6.

Three people died as 13 heavy car crashes were reported overnight in Bulgaria, according to the data of the country's Interior Ministry.

A total 20 people were injured in the hits, but none are in critical condition

In capital Sofia, the number of traffic accidents during the same period was 48, including a heavy car crash, which left two persons dead.

Bulgaria has one of the worst records for crashes in Europe.

A total of 677 people died in car crashes on the roads of the country since the beginning of the year. More than 6500 were injured in the road carnage.
