US Bell Helicopters, a division of Textron Inc., plans to licence Sofia-based Letets plant for repair works that would enable the plant to draw orders from neighbouring countries in SE Europe. A final decision for the licensing has to be made by the Textron Inc. Board. Kleanthis Kourtis from Rotsas International company, representative for Bell Helocopters in Bulgaria told Dnevnik daily. According to Kourtis, talks on the issue will be held with Textron on the issue. Since 1999 NATO applicant Bulgaria has bought seven Bell 206s and one Bell 430 to replace part of its ageing Soviet fleet of helicopters.
