ABOUT 40% OF PRIVATIZATION CONTRACTS WITH ANNEXES

A total of 379 annexes to privatization contracts have been signed by the Privatization Agency (PA), Petko Nikolov, chairman of the surveillance council of the Agency announced. PA has concluded 954 contracts in the period from 1993 till March 22 this year, 527 of which are the sale of whole companies and 427 of separate parts. According to Nikolov in about 200 of these 370 annexes the terms of the contracts have been changed. In the other cases the annexes served to correct technical and factual mistakes. The new privatization act prohibits new negotiations of investment commitments or changes in the program on employment. PA does not have any information on the contracts, concluded by the different ministries.
