President Parvanov delivered his deepest condolences on the death of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother in a telegram to her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The telegram says that this day is full of grief for the Bulgarian and for the British people. All her meaningful life is an example of bravery, dignity and sympathy to the fate of the country, the telegram says. Britain is in mourning for the Queen Mother, who died in her sleep aged 101. Books of condolences are to be opened in London and Edinburgh and crowds of mourners have gathered outside Britain's royal palaces to lay flowers and remember. The Queen Mother's funeral will take place in Westminster Abbey on Tuesday 9 April, Buckingham Palace has announced. For four days before the funeral, her body will be laid in state at Westminster Hall for the public to pay their respects. Her coffin was carried to the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor Great Park on Sunday, where the Royal Family will gather for an evensong service.
