The average per capita income in March was 112.18 levs, Standart daily reported. Bread, milk and potatoes are the most common foods on the table of the Bulgarian, show the last data of the National Statistics Institute (NSI). For the first trimester of this year the consumption per household is as follows: bread-84.5 kg; milk-12.9 liters; potatoes-12.1 kg. But in comparison with the year 2000 the consumption is down by 5 kg of bread and 1 liter of milk. Bulgarian households, however, have eaten by 3 kg more of potatoes from January till March, according to NSI experts` data. In March 49.5% the expenditures per household were for food. If there is a pensioner in the household, 50.5% of the incomes are spent for food solely. The share of the food in the spending of the households budgets grew considerably during the year. In March, 2000, 47.5% of the means of the household have been spent for foodstuffs.
