Bulgaria and Romania’s NATO bid will be supported at a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania March 29, Greek Foreign Minister George Papandreou announced at the European Council summit after his meeting with his Turkish counterpart Ismail Cem. The officials also discussed the results of the first introductory meeting on the level of political directors of the two countries’ Foreign Ministries, where possibilities for finding a solution to the Greek-Turkish disagreements on Aegean Sea were discussed. Bulgaria’s priorities include social policy, economic development and structural reforms as well as steady development and protection of the environment, Prime Minister Saxe-Coburg said at the working meeting of the European Council in Barcelona. He pointed out that Bulgaria will not only comply with the Lisbon strategy but will also work for its realization. For the first time, the thirteen countries, queuing up to enter the EU took full part in the talks at the European Union summit in Barcelona.
