Hooligans smashed almost all panes of the train, by which Harry Potter travelled to school in the four films, based on author JK Rowling's popular books.

A group of six youngsters are suspected of committing the crime.

They broke 200 out of 230 train windows, causing damages for about GBP 50,000.

West Coast Railways Company officials claim the criminals used hammers for smashing the window-glass into smithereens.

The UK police are still investigating the case.

Hogwarts Express train is at present in Cornford, Lancashire. Fans of the first Harry Potter's Fan Trips tour were given the exclusive opportunity to ride on the machine.
