Britney Spears checked out of rehab early to get her children back, but she won't be allowed to take care of them anytime soon because her estranged husband has filed for custody until she heals completely.
Spears left the Promises rehab clinic on March 20 after completing a short program there, but Kevin Federline argues that she didn't go through the full 45-day treatment.
"Everything changed when Britney went into rehab. She and Kevin started talking again and he proved to be a tower of strength for her," sources have told Hollywoodrag magazine. "Her time in rehab showed Britney that Kevin loves his kids and is a good dad."
Custody of the couple's two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James will be shared until the divorce is finalized. Spears will only be able to take her children back if she proves that she can stay sober.
