Bulgaria's exiled King Family is impatient to see Princess Kalina's baby, who is to come to the world around March 20, the royalties' press secretary announced on Tuesday.
Paparazzi and reporters from Spain, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands will flock in Sofia to mark the occasion.
Kalina's father, Simeon II Saxe-Coburg , said for the media he has already prepared huge surprises for the mother and the public, but he prefers to keep them secret until the glorious day.
The Princess is also planning several surprises. Most probably the mother-to-be will send greeting cards to all Bulgarian women who become mothers on the day of Kalina's delivery. Kalina and her husband, famous Spanish explorer Kitin Munoz want to keep baby's sex secret until the birth because of superstition. Everyone in the Vranya King Residency is expecting to see the little miracle and some of them hope it will be a girl.
The royal mother-to-be is feeling fine, her close friends say. She still has not chosen in which hospital to deliver her baby.
Kalina's baby will be the 11th grandchild of Simeon Saxe-Coburg. Strangely enough, none of his six grandsons is named after him.
Simeon's son Konstantin-Assen has two children from his wife Maria Garcia de la Rosilla - Prince Umberto and Princess Sofia. Prince Kardam and his beloved Miriam Unigria Lopez have two sons - Boris and Beltran. They are followed by Kubrat's children Mirko, Luca and Tirso. The fourth brother Kiril and his wife Rosario again have three children, all of them little princesses - Olimpia, Tacilio and King's first-born granddaughter Mafalda.
It catches the attention that all of King's and Dona Margarita's sons have names starting with the letter K, but none of them has continued the tradition.
