U.S. officials said that as many as half of the al Qaeda and Taliban fighters battling U.S. and Afghan troops in eastern Afghanistan had been killed. But an Army spokesman said Operation Anaconda will continue "as long as the Taliban don't surrender, or until they're all dead," CNN reported.
