TRADE UNIONS SUPPORTED PRESIDENTIAL VETO ON PRIVATIZATION ACT

“The state of the country is graver than a year ago. The social tension grows both because of the patent taxes and the grey economy, “ the leader of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) Zhelyazko Hristov said after a meeting of the two biggest trade unions leaders with President Parvanov. Both trade unions CITUB and “Podkrepa” categorically supported the decision of the President to veto the act on privatisation and post-privatization control, it emerged after the meeting. Hristov said that he sent a letter to the president on February 8, demanding the veto on the act. According the leaders of the two trade unions an in depth social and economic debate on the act was necessary.
