Interim Afghan leader Hamid Karzai said Wednesday a U.S.-led offensive against remnants of Taliban and al Qaeda forces in east Afghanistan was succeeding. Asked by reporters on the sixth day of the air and ground campaign how the offensive was going, he said: "Successful, successful."
