Celebrity heiress Paris Hilton has been fined USD 1,150 and sentenced to three years probation after pleading no contest to a drink driving charge.
Hilton, who was not in court in Los Angeles, was also ordered to attend an alcohol education program, BBC reported.
The socialite and singer, 25, was stopped in her car last September. Police said her blood-alcohol level was 0.08%, the minimum to warrant arrest.
The original charge of driving under the influence of alcohol was dropped to alcohol-related reckless driving.
Under Californian law, Hilton's plea of no contest is not an admission of guilt but is the equivalent of a guilty plea when determining sentencing.
