Bulgaria's movie guild gathered Saturday for the second annual film awards in the country.

The local "Oscars" still don't have a name, but that doesn't stop those who win the female statuette from feeling proud of their achievement.

The Best Movie award went to Monkeys in Winter, with director Milena Andonova receiving the prize.

Young Vladko Georgiev outplayed much older men and snatched the Best Male for his performance in "The Keeper of the Dead".

Ivan Cherkelov and Vassil Zhivkov won the prize for Best Director for their movie "Upturned Pine-Tree".

All the statuettes went along with a check for BGN 5,000.
