The Thracian treasures of Bulgaria will be offered for display at the European Parliament within an exhibition under the title "The Grandeur of Bulgaria".

The exhibition will open January 8 and will run until January 12 under the auspices of the ALDE parliamentary group, Thracia Foundation from Bulgaria, New Europe daily and the National History Museum.

"The Grandeur of Bulgaria" presents 40 specially selected artifacts from the private collection of Vassil Bozhkov, CEO of Nove Holding and former owner of FC CSKA.

The artifacts on display will narrate stories from the period of blossoming Thracian civiliasation (1000 century BC) reaching its sunset during the Roman epoch.

The unique gold masque of a Thracian ruler (V c. BC) and an exquisite gold wreath unearthed just a few summers ago.

Nowadays Bulgaria lies on a rich culture and civilization heritage from the ancient Thracians, as excavations on numerous tombs and highly urbanized settlements reveal.
