IMF BOARD TO DISCUSS AGREEMENT WITH BULGARIA

The Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is expected late today to discuss and approve Bulgaria’s funding agreement, the Finance Ministry announced. The agreement is for two years and is for USD 300 M, Finance Minister Velchev announced in Parliament on December 14, last year. The agreement is expected to be signed this month. The funding will be disbursed in nine tranches over two years with the first instalment due to be transferred immediately after the Board’s approval.
