Bulgaria's animal lovers' society has called for the state to close down all dog pound quarantine units.
They claim that these facilities are places of malfeasances and corruption, where dogs are simply being killed off.
Millions of levs from Bulgaria's budget have gone in the dogs' quarantine system and the problem with the stray dogs still hasn't been solved, the society believes, as quoted by BNR state radio.
