The strategy for the privatization of the Bulgarian Telecommunication Company will be discussed today by the MPs of Simeon II National Movement and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms. The strategy for the privatization of the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company (BTC) will be tabled in the Council of Ministers during this week, Ilia Vassilev, deputy executive director of the Privatization Agency announced last week. On February 15, at a closed meeting of the Cabinet, the ministers discussed the privatisation strategy of the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company (BTC), Transport Minister Plamen Petrov announced. “More than 10 candidates have shown interest in the privatisation of the Telecom. Very soon memorandums for participation in the two-stage tender will be given to them,“ Petrov explained. He pointed out that serious recommendations for changes in the BTC privatisation strategy have been made by the ministers. According to the minister, the telecom will be sold in four months.
