SOCIALIST PARTY LEADER: NON-CONFIDENCE VOTE OPTION IS NOT RULED OUT

The Bulgarian Socialist Party may file a non-confidence vote against the Cabinet, unless it changes its policy, BSP leader Sergey Stanishev said in the town of Vratsa. He pointed out the lack of clear governing concept and economic priorities. Sergey Stanishev said that it is the obligation of the opposition to force the ruling party to improve their work. “The Socialist Party does it in every possible way,” he pointed out. He expressed the opinion that the early parliamentary elections are not the best option for Bulgaria, bearing in mind the consequences of such a decision for the domestic and foreign policy priorities. “It is very important that Bulgaria’s stability is maintained in the next several months, so that we receive NATO invitation in Prague. Stanishev pointed the Cabinet as the most serious threat to the country’s stability, since it may prove to be the most important stabilizing factor.
