Business | February 25, 2002, Monday // 00:00

Veliko Turnovo District Court postponed the hearing of the case on Balkanbank leakage of funds February 25 and rescheduled it for March 28. The third postponement of the case followed the Court’s decision on irregularities in summoning Roseximbank representatives as civil claimants in the case. Roseximbank is successor to bankrupt Balkanbank. Former Director of the Balkanbank branch in Veliko Turnovo Nikolina Markova and former MP of the Bulgarian Business Block Doncho Dimitrov are defendants in the case. They are charged with complicity and instigation of illegally releasing a total of BGN 290 M of credit (before the monetary reform), issuing invalid documents and appropriating money and objects deposited with the bank.
