GAZPROM EYES BULGARIA'S BULGARGAS PRIVATISATION

Russia's gas giant Gazprom said it was interested in an eventual privatisation of Bulgaria's state-owned gas monopoly Bulgargas, Reuters reported. "We are interested in such a privatisation and this is natural given that we are a supplier using this (Bulgargas's) pipeline network to export gas beyond Russia's and Bulgaria's borders," Gazprom board member Bogdan Budzulyak told reporters. Bulgargas is Bulgaria's only gas importer and owns the whole 2,200 km (1,380 miles) pipeline network, while Gazprom is Bulgaria's only supplier.
