“The United States are “pro” Bulgaria’s joining NATO,” Elena Poptodorova, Bulgaria’s new ambassador to the United States told Darik Radio. “The United States is for inviting Bulgaria to NATO this autumn, “ she added. “Now we should give enough arguments so that this intention of the American administration becomes a fact,” Poptorova pointed out. President Bush assured Bulgaria’s new Ambassador to USA Elena Poptodorova that his country is committed to developing bilateral relations on the occasion of the presentation of the letters of credence February 14. He also pledged support for the vision of the American administration for democratic Bulgaria, integrated in the European Union and NATO.
