SPECIAL ENVOY DISCUSSED COOPERATION WITH AFGHAN DEPUTY PM

Angel Orbetsov,the special envoy to Afghanistan of Bulgaria’s Foreign Minister Passy, met on February 20 with Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister of Afghanistan, General Mohammad Qasim Fahim. At the meeting Orbetsov expressed Bulgaria's support for the peace process in Aghanistan and the Interim Government and acquainted General Fahim with Bulgaria's decision to take part in the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF). Obertsov also informed the Afghan official about the arrival of the first part of the Bulgarian military contingent. General Fahim thanked for that and for the support and hailed the idea to promote cooperation between the defence ministries and armed forces of the two countries.
