AHMED DOGAN: PRIORITIES ARE COMMON

Politics | June 18, 2001, Monday // 00:00

The stand of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms coalition (MRF) on Bulgaria`s priorities does not differ from that of the Simeon II National Movement, and the MRF`s conditions for a coalition with SNM are such that can be met, said MRF leader Ahmed Dogan, quoted by BTA, Bulgarian press agency. `Our condition is that the instruments of the executive be used to solve the problems of our voters and I believe that we will provided with such instruments,` said Dogan. In his opinion, the SNM will hardly take the risk of forming a cabinet of one`s own. Dogan said there are resources for `a consensus prime minister, a consensus personality, a technocrat`. `I think that the next cabinet will be formed on the basis of the consensus vote, European values and Euro-Atlantic integration,` the MRF leader added. In his opinion, the parliamentary elections were a challenge before all political forces. Dogan said that both Muslims and Christians voted for the MRF coalition. According to him, this is the sign, which guaranties stability in the region.
