INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY SERVICES SEPARATED FROM THE ARMED FORCES

The National Intelligence Service and the National Security Service will be separated from the system of the Bulgarian Armed Forces, amendments to the National Defence and Armed Forces Act, passed at first reading by Parliament February 20, envisage. Under the amendments the prerogatives of the Cabinet will be expanded. An educational minimum is set for the recruits. MPs form Coalition for Bulgaria expressed the opinion that the amendments do not provide what Bulgaria needs.
